The government of Manitoba has promptly extended its support to Ukraine and remains resolute in its dedication. Up to this point, the Manitoba administration has furnished $800,000 in direct relief aid and distributed nearly 300 protective vests to aid in the conflict. An initiative, the Ukrainian Refugee Task Force, was established by the Manitoba government and is headed by the Manitoba Emergency Measures Organization, with the aim of organizing and executing efforts to provide assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
This endeavor has facilitated Manitoba in providing a comprehensive range of settlement and care services, such as lodging, job search assistance, medical and psychological aid, education, child care, and social support. The task force continues to work in tandem with Ukrainian-Canadian organizations and other community partners to ensure that coordination is ongoing.
